The selfies are seemingly parallel in nature to the artwork.<\/p>\n

You probably know what I’m talking about. These things:<\/p>\n

The latest iteration of the Google Arts & Culture app, which promises to scour more than 1,200 museums in over 70 countries to find one\u2019s art doppelganger, has become a viral hit.<\/p>\n

Though the Google Arts & Culture app has been available since 2016, the find-your-art-lookalike feature was released with its latest update in mid-December.<\/p>\n

Google spokesman Patrick Lenihan told The Washington Post that<\/p>\n

\u201cThe feature was an idea someone had last year and was incorporated into the app with little fanfare. Its popularity has been completely organic\u201d,<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re always trying to figure out cool and interesting ways to get people talking about art, and this was one of them,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lenihan said.<\/p>\n

As it turns out, all those photos are from a Google app that’s over a year old. It’s called the Google Arts & Culture app, and it’s free on\u00a0Google Play<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0Apple App Store<\/a>.<\/p>\n

First, download the Google Arts & Culture App from the App Store.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Open the app and you’ll see some pictures on the first,\u00a0<\/strong>Scroll down until you see below: “Is your portrait in a museum?”<\/strong><\/h3>\n
